The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in the Section of Neuropathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The section is responsible for performance of neuropathology laboratory services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – the school’s 650 bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The successful candidate will be a member of the Neuropathology team, consulting with clinical staff, as well as an active participant in the educational programs of the Department including teaching medical students, residents, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. In addition, participation on the autopsy service will be required. Subsecialty expertise in an area of surgical pathology, such as head and neck pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, breast pathology, thoracic pathology, pediatric pathology, genitourinary pathology etc is desirable, but not required.
An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP and Neuropathology. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and academic experience. Women and diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
